So, right after anime class today (got a B- on my paper on Gasaraki, I swear the teacher wants my GPA to die), we went to AnimeBoston! Took the bus into Boston, the Red line to Park Street and then the Green line to the center, ran into a bishie on the street who dropped his tie and thereby gave me an excuse to talk to him while handing it back. Definitely an auspicious start.

Pre-regged tickets were picked up with no problem, and they gave us a free volume of Shounen Jump along with a sample book of TokyoPop manga, then we hit the con proper. First of all, we headed right into the dealer's room and started to wander around, getting a feel for the place. I ended up buying 6 volumes of Petshop of Horrors, volume #3 of Hands Off!, volume #1 of Legal Drug and volume #1 of Duck Prince for a friend of mine because the name made me think of her.

I also bought my first ever doujinshi. *purrs* One RemusxSirius for a friend again, and (eat your heart out Fyre) Gravitation Remix 10. Yes. The one with the sexysexy bishie on the cover, containing tales of ASK inside. *smirks* Though, it would be nice to read Japanese to know what the hell they're saying and why one of them is acting like such a bastard >_<

I actually wanted to buy Yu-Gi-Oh djs, but they only had SetoxJou, SetoxYami no Yuugi, Yami no YuugixJou and YugixJou, none of which are pairings that I like. Anything with Jou I automatically dislike really. So I settled for Gravitation instead, though I'm thinking of getting myself a Harry Potter dj tomorrow. We'll see - I already spent over 120+ dollars today, so I need to set myself a cap on my funds.

Anyway, we also watched a few eps of an anime called 'Ultramaniac' which was pretty cute, if rather shoujoish (cute, fluffy and so romance-orientated it was like a teen short story). A little more time was spent wandering around the art tables, then I went to the Plushie Workshop but it was full so instead I sat down and read manga for a little.

Neko called during that period and weirdly enough, I looked up from my manga to find Seto Kaiba standing right in front of me. The temptation to pull his trenchcoat was incredibly hard to resist, but I took a pic of him instead.

Then I went back to an anime screening room and saw some 'Chromatic High School' which was an utterly random anime. The fascination with nose hair in that completely escaped me.

I rounded off my con experience by attending a Yaoi Panel (my first ever 18+ event!) which was kick-started by the two speakers asking for five volunteers from the audience. Those five were then blindfolded so that they could play Pin the Cock on the Bishounen. *dies* I'm so glad I wasn't picked. I would have firstly died of shame and secondly put it somewhere entirely incorrect. Though, it would have been cool to get some prizes since they were giving out doujinshi. *pouts*

Tomorrow, there's a bit of a conflict schedule. Scott is doing autograph signings, Gaia Online has a panel and there's a panel on 'Queering the Mainstream' all at the same time. I can't really pick what to go to, since I'm not on Gaia all that often anymore, but the 'Queering the Mainstream' sounds like Yaoi Panel watered down and autograph signings can't last that long. I'm definitely going to the performance of the band cosplaying as Bad Luck though. ^_~

And of course, since a con wouldn't be a con without cosplayers, I'll upload some of the pictures I've taken so far for your viewing pleasure :P They'll go in a separate post though, since they're going to be pretty big and I don't want to have to wait for this page to load and reload everytime that I reply to comments.

@_@ I've never been to the yaoi deal-stuff *pouts* Maybe it might be better to go where I have my own transportation to rely on or staying in the hotel or something @_@

xD i don't remember why not. The first time, I think I was "too scared" to go anywhere by myself? Not sure. Lame, I know. The second con, *sighs* was frustrating. We had to stick together for camera crew and b/c of transportation and one person kept feeling left out so I tried to stick with her (Chrislea, ironically enough) and... meh. I didn't get to. I plan to do what *I* want (hopefully) at my next con.
