And she must have loved him. Because according to manga canon, Sindin's been crazy for at least twenty years, and Ryuuji is definitely not twenty. So whoever Ryuuji's mother was, she spent years married to an abusive psycho who dressed in a clown-suit twenty-four seven. And she bore him a child. So she must have loved him in order to stay with him, unless we're thinking Harley/Joker style of romance which is just a NO in YGOverse.
Anyway! Sidetrack ignored, he could've done that to make Ryuuji look less like her. Just dragged him to the parlor and sat him down. Or he could have made Ryuuji kneel in front of him, and then cut the line down there, to scar him. And Ryuuji was the one who got it tattooed over.
Ryuuji as a wee little child assassin with jade-opaque eyes and a dangerously pretty smile makes me both grin and feel very sorry for him. Because he doesn't believe in showing everything you've got, like we see in canon. He hides what he's capable of, and he hides what he knows, and he hides behind that pretty smile of his and he hides so well that nobody ever goes looking for him because they don't know he's not there.

It would be such a disturbing story. But it would work. Especially if we throw in the mother thing, so Sindin starts getting more attracted to Ryuuji as the years go by and Ryuuji grows even more like his mother, appearance-wise, and then, after the sex-rape-whatever, Ryuuji's in front of a mirror. With a knife under one eye. He's about to blind himself, like Oedipus did, because he slept with his father. And Sindin stops him, but during the fight, he gets that scar under his eye. And then uses eyeliner over it, to remind himself of what he's like on the side, how he's just as twisted and dirty as his father and getting the Sennen Puzzle will save them both, purify them, free them of the madness that took them over.
...It would make a fantastic fic, if as creepy as hell.
I think Ryuuji's more with the hint/tease thing than actually putting out. Because he's arrogant, and pretty, and that means he's probably really picky about who he fucks. Why use sex and the whole shebang if you can settle for only bargaining with beauty?
And lol! I'm the best sex-writer you've ever seen? I've only ever written three fics with sex, but I think the reason that they came out well is that I didn't actually focus on the sex. There's no 'dripping wet' or 'hard, throbbing cock' in my fics, because quite frankly, being asexual means that reading that sort of stuff makes me laugh. So I don't write it. I just write what I can, which means that the sex tends to be from a char's pov, and more about their _thoughts_ than their actions. It doesn't use explicit words and it focuses on what they're thinking of the other char, or what they see/feel.
The Jason/Steph is probably the most explicit that I got, and that's a masturbation scene with the emphasis being on his connection with her (double dead Robin) and how they make that work. The Mai/Ryuuji is meant to be lazy-relaxed sex, and it focuses on how beautiful Mai is in Ryuuji's eyes and how they fit together. He goes down on her, but that's not described in any detail. Even the actual act of copulation isn't detailed; it's about how the moonlight on Mai looks. And the Ryuuji/Terry is basically a study of how Terry's babbling and half-wild with sex because omg, Ryuuji is blowing him in a dirty alleyway!
So, in conclusion? I write good sex because as an asexual, it's about the least graphic and most emotional/thoughtful sex that you can get. If it's hot, it's hot because of the powerplay or the emotional ties involved, not because I go into detail about what the sex is like :P
