Yay for Snopes! Most of the people who forward that stuff are well-intentioned, but I think they don't actually read and think about what they are forwarding.

There are things about Texas I truly love, especially parts of the hill country and the Austin of my memories from 20 years ago, but our politics are mostly teh suck. We have a few teeny pockets of goodness surrounded by the Bible belt and a lot of corruption. That's why I have a link to the Obama blog on my website and will be sending money to who ever the Dems run for President in 2008, despite my Libertarian leanings.
