I can't agree with that, because I don't think that believing what you're doing is right makes it right. It's like that family with the disabled daughter who deliberately stunted her growth to make her easier to take care of; they thought that they were doing the right thing, but I was horrified. Or it's like a mother beating her child with a belt because she thinks her child will grow up to be a delinquent if she doesn't -- the mother thinks she's doing the right thing but she's actually just traumatizing the kid. Good intentions are one thing -- I don't believe she's trying to be evil -- but it's another to actually say that just because someone thought that they were doing what's right doesn't mean that they were. Intent != consequence.
