Like I said further down in the comments to this post, I was pretty sure that I couldn't have an abortion myself, despite being pro-choice. However, in this case, I think I'd have to -- but I'm bypassing that by simply never getting pregnant. Ever. If for some reason I decide I do want kids, I'll adopt. It's that simple. I can't risk another kid like my sister being brought into this world because of me.
Her baby was born in April, making him only 5 months old now. If she's neglecting him now already, that's not exactly a good sign for the rest of his life -- my mother took a year off work to take care of my sister, in hopes that it might make a difference in my sister's condition. Palin's not even trying.
As for her acceptance speech, I missed it. I just Googled 'Palin + abortion' to see what her stance on abortion was, and came across this little gem. Kind of a shame -- I'd been momentarily excited by the idea of a chick VP, until I found out that there's not a single political stance she has that I agree with and she's a lousy human being by my standards.
Obama, I just don't want McCain and can't risk throwing my vote on a third party. Sorry about the link not working!
