That is really sad. I know she had him at the acceptance speech with her (four of her five kids were there, the one absent being in Iraq), but I only caught a transcript, so I didn't get to see the whole thing.

I do know that most of the parents around here who have disabled children (or at least the ones I see go through the school system) usually have one parent as a stay-at-home person, so the child always has someone there. I can't really picture doing it any other way.

With McCain, I feel like he chose a woman VP solely to steal the voters that would have voted for Hilary. He's relying on the hope that most women won't look into her policy and will just be happy to see a woman in office. Chances are, a lot of them will do that, too.
