But the rise of Japanese trends in popularity kind of have put East Asia on the map a little more -- China might still be considered an economic giant as opposed to a cultural influence, though. Not sure on that, but Japan's definitely being imitated by a lot of white suburban teens, to borrow Savior's description of them.
