I am now fully caught up with GPF!

Even though it took me two hours of reading...

Also, anyone out there good at translating drunk entries? I'll write a drabble for anyone that can successfully figure out what's being said in this entry.

He swore as the town hove into sight, a blackened, charred remain of what it had formerly been. Fires still blazed in some spots, the sound of crying blew towards them on the wind, and the entire scene was one of desolation. Some other pirate had got there before they had!

Utterly annoyed at the waste of time, Ryuuji was about to turn away and call out orders to change course when he caught sight of a ship sailing away from the town in question. A smoothly-sanded ship, with purple sails. A sudden smirk curved his lips; he knew that ship. The Poisonous Butterfly was well-known as being manned by Captain Mai and first mate Isis, the only pirate ship around with an all-female crew. Apparently the jinx of women being bad luck didn't apply if the ship only ever carried women.

No man had ever set foot on its deck, but Mai had often crossed over to Dragon's Child, the ship that Ryuuji had vainly named after himself. She stepped into his berth, into his life and his heart with the same grace that she did everything else, and Ryuuji never found himself regretting an encounter with the other pirate captain.

Even if it did make finding intact towns a little more difficult than he might have liked, it was still worth it. Mai was worth it, his treasure of ruby and gold and amethyst, his equal and rival and-

"PREPARE TO BE BOARDED!" A familiar voice shouted, the two ships having met while Ryuuji mused, and when Ryuuji looked up, it was to meet the dazzling smile of his female counterpart. He swept one arm wide in a clear gesture of welcome, his crew backing away from the railing as Mai swung over on a rope, smile on her lips and laughter in her eyes.

And when Mai stepped onto the deck, she stepped onto a red carpet.
