First Post Program.
Link of the Day: First Post Progam.
Basically, you make a post in your el-jay, backdated to before you had the journal, with your RL contact information in case of an emergency. I've stuck it up in my userinfo, and all of you should do the same.
Also, anyone out there willing to be my el-jay contact if things go wrong? I listed my cell phone number, my parent's phone number but I was thinking that I should stick down the number of someone on el-jay so that you'd at least get an update somewhere on my radio silence.

I also realized after I did it I'd want people I trusted on my flist to be able to do the same thing as the LJ Abuse people could do, so I also have a filtered, flocked entry with that info that some people can see. XD
And I'd love to be your contact if someone more worthy does not speak up. *snugs*

And ooh, point. XD I know that most people know my RL addy and phone number, but I put my parents one down there. I figure if I'm having an emergency, what's the point of someone calling me while I'm bleeding to death?
*snuggles back* Thanks. XD I'm still not sure how that'd work -- I give you my el-jay password, I give you posting access to my fiction journal and tell people to check there if I've been unreachable for a week, etc?

*breathes* Okay, calming down now.
I don't know either of those factoids! Clearly I'm going to suck at this job! ;)
I can understand if you are uncomfortable with the el-jay password thing, so posting access to your fic journal would work just fine! Ooo, the power. *snort* Seriously though, it's a good idea. xD
