Okay, I think that I'm going to have to join the people on my flist complaining about this new update interface. They're going to let us at least use the old one as an option, right? At some point?!

As a Dystopia-layout user, I'm even getting a totally unnecessary scrollbar on the bottom. Unless I fullsize the screen, which is really pretty pointless.

And if you have no clue what I'm talking about, try updating your journal.

I hope they don't keep this. My computer is slow and keeps error-ing out in the text area, and doesn't load all of the buttons that I never use. I pretty much always update in Rich Text format, and it keeps going "error on page" after I select that tab. o.o;;

I never use Rich Text format but it's mostly the scrollbar that annoys me, and the icon being on top.

It's weird. Agreed everything belonged at the bottom so you could pick after you had updated. At the same time, I seem to be the only person that just doesn't care....

Not really. I update less on my personal journal, but I'm constantly making RP updates. It simply doesn't matter to me...different priorities, I think.

I like being able to choose my icon first - even if I change my mind at the end of the post. And the design seems cleaner. Having things in grey space always felt cramped.

But why can't tags be a pull down menu? And why doesn't the design adapt itself to fit the screen w/o a scroll bar?

I'd rather have the icon last, because I can take it within context of the whole post. I never really have a specific idea what I'll be writing about unless it's very fandom-specific and even then, I talk about fandoms I don't have icons or I talk about fandoms I have multiple icons for.

And I kind of liked the grey space. It was nicely delineating, to me.

No idea about the tags -- I'd love that as well. As well as the screen resize, horizontal scrollbars are insanely annoying.
