A few years ago, I joined an RP called ygo_rpg, playing Yami no Malik and made a char journal without having a personal journal. Then I made a personal journal to keep up with my friends from that RP. Then I started adding original RPers that I liked. Then I added writers. Then I started adding people I talked to in comms and liked.

Fastforward to the present and here I am, so very lucky to have such an awesome flist as all of you. Let's face it, what makes livejournal fun for me is all of you, and to celebrate my 1001st entry, I'm redoing the Appreciation Meme!

Make the people on your friendslist feel appreciate. Post a short paragraph (or long) for each of them, stating why you like them and brighten up their day by doing so.

I love reading your entries and your insights into things -- even when I have no idea what you're talking about, I still end up skimming at your entries because you have such a wonderfully funny way of writing. Your userinfo is beyond gorgeous and I am utterly thrilled when I find out that we have more fandoms in common besides YGO -- like Batman Beyond or the Disney movies! I love your attitude and your courage, and I think that it's amazing how strong a person you are and how well you manage to deal with being ill. *hugs* Seriously, 9tails, I am very, very proud of you and proud to have you on my flist. ♥

I love your cracky ideas and your randomness as much as I love seriously discussing things with you -- I like being able to chat with you over practically everything, and I am honestly very glad to be friends with you. You're one of the smartest, sweetest people I know, and your ability to just deal with everything in your life is shaming-inspiring, because you just have so much strength to keep going despite everything. The fact that we're friends is just plain awesomeness on the part of the universe.

abrandnewboom: You've had that name for a while and yet, I somehow still haven't got used to it! But anyway, you had the dubious honor of being the most music-obsessed person on my flist as well as the only person into bandslash, but now ceresi has joined you in the crazy bandslash section and fairly_grimm talks a lot about music as well. Still, it's cool to see you talk about music and your friends so enthusiastically -- it's just the sheer glee you have that's fun to see. I love how much you really care about music.

ager_sanguinis: I am really, really glad to have you on my flist. Really. It's kinda crazy-weird how much we have in common on the IRL side, not the fandom side, and I know we don't comment/chat that much, but I don't think we need to. I'm always glad to see you update, anyway, and to know what's going on with your life. I hope you find a way to be happy to be happy for yourself, despite everything that goes against you. *hugs* You're tough. You'll survive.

cairnsy: Dragon Child will never fail to impress me as the best Ryuuji fic ever written and my favorite short YGO AU. If I ever end up in TRC, it'll be because you keep on talking about them and I want to be able to read your new fics and actually understand them. When you sent me that Christmas package with the Marik/Bakura story printed on blue paper, I was thrilled. I still have the fridge magnets you sent along with that up on my fridge, and I was so glad to see you post and say you liked the rainbow drawing stuff I sent you. <3 You're a really fantastic writer. Really, really fantastic, and one of the people whose writing I've admired since before I knew you on el-jay. Also, Suya rocks and DAMNIT, why can't you find that story and send it to me?

ceresi: When you friended me back, I nearly dropped dead of shock since you had that little disclaimer in your userinfo saying you only friended back people that were good writers or interesting. I have no idea which of those categories I go into but either way, I'm still very flattered that you did so. Your Rachel-drabble is on my delicious, in my memories and I have to stop myself from reviewing it EVERY time I read it. Because I've already reviewed it twice and it would get a little ridiculous to keep going on about it. Anyway, you've got a knack for painful angst, I am so glad you're keeping the Animorphs love alive and you definitely need to write more Smallville! *is in awe of your writing skills*

fairly_grimm: Savior, my shiny crayon who never needs sharpening, please remember that I heart you very much, even if you have to force yourself to be sociable. You try really hard to not be emo and to yank yourself up into glee, even if it's through concussions and other such dubiously-healthy methods. I worry about you a lot, admittedly, but I think you'll be okay. You're really intelligent, and even if we don't always agree on things or have the same interests, I still like knowing you're out there and you're alive, even if you're not doing okay. I used to love RPing with you, and I hope we can get that joy back some day. paralinguistic: OTP forever, bitch. No matter how many boyfriends, husbands or whatnots you have, you know that kicking ass and not caring about names is what you were meant to do. I also think it was a really brave move on your part to take a gap year before going to college and meeting you in London was FANTASTIC. Marine biology is so major-league cool and I love reading about your college courses even though taking them would probably bore me stiff. You're definitely part of the reason that I like Ryuuji, especially Ryuuji/Seto, and I am squeeing over the fact that I got you hooked on Ryuuji/Terry! (Speaking of which, go check ego_chan's latest entries, she's been asking for prompts to write that pairing.) Your sense of humor always cracks me up and I love commenting back and forth with you, regardless of if we're being silly or talking politics.

princessjessia: You are going to make such an awesome mother, it'll be unbelievable! I'm really glad you made it through the pregnancy safely and so did Zoey. You have a gorgeous knack for writing, and I love the way you word things. You are also an amazing, supportive friend and I will never cease to be grateful to you for that awful day last summer when you spent so much time trying to soothe me. Chocolates for you were the least I could do! ♥ And watching Smallville with you was fantastic! Oh, you're amazing, taking so much time out of your life to write about us little people on the intarwebz. I'm always honoured to think that other people read my rambling every now and then and SEE what I'm trying to express. Which is basically just my heart exploding across my screen at the sound of a particular chord or harmony. ^^; I don't know why. I suppose I'm pathetically sensitive to music, if nothing else. XDDD

You, whenever I think about you, I immediately think; she's so intelligent and so socially aware... I think it's beautiful how much you care about the world around you and its issues. Perhaps it's because you're older and wiser than I, or more experienced, but you have such a wide sweeping understanding of so many world issues that I often don't feel smart enough, perceptive enough, or 'socially aware/caring' enough to merit appearing on your comments page.

Your fandom dedication is also mindblowing. You give so much to other people in the form of writing personally for them. You constantly remind me of when I was in YGO fandom. And you know how much I adore nostalgia and living in the past. ;)

*hugs you* I've had this meme in progress for over a month now, if you'd believe it. I kept needing to delete private posts to make sure that this would be my 1001st entry since I couldn't stop updating completely while working on getting through my flist.

And music is awesome, even though I don't love it on the same level you do, and reading your entries and your squee... It's weirdly cheering, just to know someone can love something so passionately and uncomplicatedly.

Awwwwwww! Comment as much as you like, really. XD If I come off as experienced, it's from being ethnically South Asian, growing up in Australia and Europe, then moving to the US for uni. So I'd say it's the sheer number of cultures that I've been exposed to that help me manage to keep a handle on everything that happens politics-wise.

I love writing for other people. There is something so awesome about being able to make a gift for them that's close to what they requested, if not exactly it. And hey, the YGO fandom still lives! And Ryuuji/Terry is becoming a fandom of its own :P

I think it's monkeycrackmary and abrandnewboom that are actually into bandom proper. (And wow, 'bandom' looks like a weird word). fairly_grimm just loves talking about the actual music and he's into hardcore which is abbreviated to hxc, I think, which always makes me think hurt x comfort. Fandom has broken my mind.
