Do YOU know how icons are made?

I just joined iconaday, which is a 100 icon challenge community with a new theme announced every 48 hours. I'm basing all of my icons around YGO cards.

Why is this interesting to you? contrastingly.

nevita is taking the challenge at the same time that I am, using YGO villains, and we created and are modding the comm together. Basically, each day, we post the icon that we made for the theme, and talk a little about the process involved. It's a great way to pick up tips and since we're both doing it, you get exposed to two different styles and therefore, double the number of tricks you'd see otherwise! It's less formal than tutorials, but there'll be a max of two entries per day, each of which gives a quick rundown of how the icon of the day was created.

Join, watch, learn and snag icons! If you have any questions about the icon of the day, feel free to ask them as comments. I promise I'm not the type to jealously harbor trade secrets. XD

XD I didn't add anything either, so I guess that might be why. *laugh* I feel like I should send things sometimes though, since I feel guilty that people send me things. @_@;;

Aww, no worries! I just toss in stuff depending on if I think that people need them/I have candy to spare. It's not like I go out shopping to deliberately find stuff, so it's very low-effort.

Totally! XD I was thinking about offering to make people's favorite cards, even, since I have a hundred slots to fill up.

And you're generally cool, so if you want some card icons, go ahead and offer your ideas! I'll definitely make them faster if you link to the images, though.
