Procrastination hits me again!
“The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference.”
Pick a pairing. Write three drabbles for that pairing, each with a different take on it: love, hate and indifference. In that order, because that’s the order they appear in the quotation. Post them in your journal, and pass this on.
See that meme? I meant to do it for psychoshipping. I really did. Instead, I ended up writing my first ever Dangershipping story/ficlet. Not even a drabble. Two full pages on Microsoft Word. I have no clue how that happened, but I'm blaming it on
nekocutecatchan (or in other words, sneakily dedicating it to her) and posting it here.
...I'll take the meme later.
The theme that I had been trying for was love btw, in case anyone is interested in how off-base I managed to get. All critiques will be gladly accepted.
Existence.
A giggle floated lazily into the office, followed moments later by a smirking Yami no Malik and a mocking call of, “Why Se-to, working again? What a shame. I’d almost think you didn’t miss me.” The dark spirit was the only one who drawled Seto’s name in that particular manner, elongating the syllables to make it sound like a snake’s hiss followed by an axe chop.
“You’re not real.” Seto informed Yami no Malik, without looking up from his laptop. A moment later, the screen was pressed down with a deceptive gentleness, the cinnamon-golden fingers of the other boy wrapping over Seto’s slender, paler hands. The same infuriatingly relaxed laughter sounded again as Yami no Malik started to thoughtlessly bend Seto’s fingers backwards, now seated on his lap. “Silly Se-to. That is what you always say.”
“It’s just as true as the first time that I said it.” Seto coldly replied, not wincing at the feeling of his fingers being pushed to the breaking point. He refused to look at the Egyptian, instead staring at the dark wooden door from which his tormentor had entered. For that, he heard a finger snap, the sharp crack sounding even over the other’s laughter. “But Se-to, if I don’t exist, then how did that finger break?”
Changing tactics as that question was unanswerable, Seto instead reasoned flatly, “You are nothing but a part of Malik Ishtar’s mind. You cannot have a body of your own separate from him meaning you cannot be here. Hence, you do not exist.” For an answer, he received a taunting giggle and dark indigo eyes peered up at him teasingly, half-hidden by lowered eyelids. Tanned fingers deftly undoing buttons, Yami no Malik asked casually, “Does that mean I’m not undressing you?”
A silence, and the sound of heavy cloth hitting the ground with a muffled thud, the metal jingle of belts clashing against each other following. Then a stubborn, single-word reply. “Yes.”
“And that you’re not scared?” Fingers ghosting over the expanse of skin revealed, pressing against the hollow of Seto’s throat and feeling his heartbeat quicken in a way that would never be shown in his words. A curt answer, anger barely-repressed, “I don’t fear what doesn’t exist.”
Laughter sounded yet again, the golden false god sliding off the other’s lap to kneel between his legs and smirk up at him. The words that dripped off his teeth were poison-sweet, the quick flash of teeth ghostly white, seeming to almost glisten under the bright light of the office. “If I don’t exist, then obviously you won’t feel it when I do this…” A hand settled on each thigh, the gold of the bracers cold against Seto’s skin, and the psychopath bent his head after flashing the taller boy another eerie smirk.
Once more, silence fell, cold blue eyes staring steadily at the wooden door, lips pressed together in a thin line to stop any sound escaping them. Any sound at all. This wasn’t happening. There was nothing for him to feel. There was no reason for to react, because there was nothing happening for him to react to.
…and the sudden, shocked gasp that left his lips was due to him seeing a scratch on the door. Nothing to do with a clever tongue curling itself in such a manner that it tangled Seto’s very thoughts.
Again, laughter rang through the room, contaminating the very air as Yami no Malik rose to his feet, now looming over the other boy as he licked his lips, pink tongue seeming to taste the air in a snake-like manner. Wild spikes of dark golden hair covered his eyes, only the perfect cruelty of his smile showing as he guided Seto from the chair to lie over the desk instead, brown head bent to stare at the carpet. Passive. Submissive. All those things that Seto wasn’t. Which made sense. This wasn't happening, so this wasn’t Seto. Or so he told himself, with every shudder that ran through his body.
This wasn’t happening, so this wasn’t him.
Afterwards, instead of laughing, Yami no Malik half-purred as he held the other boy close to him, cradling his pretty doll within gold-laden arms. Trailing his fingers languidly over the cooling skin, he licked at the shell of the other’s ear before he spoke, “Se-to, do you still maintain that I don’t exist?”
Voice empty of all emotion, Seto answered mechanically, “You do not exist. Magic does not exist. Fairy-tales do not come true.”
Laughter. Harsh and wild and free from all constraints of sanity. All traces of playfulness disappeared from Yami no Malik’s eyes, the purple of them starting to burn like the ashes of a phoenix pyre as he tightened his grip on Seto, and cooed as a reply, “Fairy-tales don’t come true. But nightmares do.”
A hard kiss pressed upon bruised skin, “Nightmares live.”
A broken finger twisted sadistically, “Nightmares kill.”
A sudden, harsh bite at a soft shoulder, “Nightmares hate.”
A shockingly-soft whisper, cruel in its deception, “Nightmares love.”
A final, low, victorious laugh.“Nightmares exist. And I am your nightmare.”

Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
feh... still.
^^;; Cute can be good. Fluffy-romatic-cute can be good, but so can bloody-sensual-stuff and then so can... never mind >.>;;
Bakura would sigh, thinking that no matter what happens Marik's going to either wish the night hadn't happen or have complaints about it or numerous other things that are going on through his mind. Still, he'd continued to pet through his hair and begin to also rub along Marik's upper back, almost dazed.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
And Marik would still be naked, but not wet at least, and raise himself slightly higher so that Bakura can reach more of his back. He wouldn't move from the kneeling position though, and might tilt his head back a little to keep having his hair petted, since the spikes would have gone with the wash.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Trailing his fingers along Marik's back, Bakura would tilt his fingers/hands so that his nails would brush over the skin rather than just the fingers. Tilting his head a bit, Bakura would bite at his lip thoughtfully and then slowly stand up and then almost crawl behind Marik and begin to knead his hands over Marik's back - massaging him a bit.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would still a little at having Bakura move behind him, tensing up slightly but then relax again when Bakura's not doing anything except touching his back. And he'd resist the temptation to ask what Bakura's doing.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would notice the barely feel the slight tense, and would nod a bit to himself, thinking it's confirmed a few of his thoughts. But he wouldn't stop, and would continue to works his hands over Marik's back and upper shoulders, not saying anything either.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would just do his best to stay relaxed and enjoy what Bakura's doing without thinking about anything else, but finally end up quietly asking, "Why are you doing that?"
Re: Wishing and Malepreg
Bakura would lean his head against Marik's back and sigh, holding himself back from just saying 'why not' or something and instead would continue and state, "Because I want to."
Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would relax a little, just being quiet and trying to get used to it, then softly thank Bakura. He wouldn't turn around or anything though, just look at the carpet and try to ignore how naked he is.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would hum softly in response to Marik's soft thanks, and would continue to massage Marik's back and move to his arms as well.. completely unsure of what exactly is going on in Marik's mind, but not wanting to ask and misunderstand what is said or if anything'll be said.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would tense slightly again at having Bakura shift his focus, but then force himself to relax again. He'd tell himself that this doesn't hurt, isn't humiliating and should therefore be enjoyed.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would sigh a bit at the tense and half whisper, "Do you trust me?" While waiting an answer, he'd still be massaging Marik's arms and back.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Cue a long, long silence, with Marik thinking about that and knowing that Bakura wasn't really trying to hurt him, and wondering how to explain that yes, he trusts Bakura in general, just not when it comes to this... He'd finally give up on that, and half-slouch, tense no longer and just answer "Yes - I trust you."
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
While Marik was silent, Bakura probably would have stopped massaging for a few seconds and catch himself and continue while really beginning to not look foward to Marik's answer - already preparing for the worse. When Marik would finally admit it, Bakura would relax a bit and continue as he was - his hands never going lower than Marik's midback, not wanting Marik to tense up again.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would be surprised at the lack of response from Bakura, but not push his luck, just relaxing into the massage as nothing bad is happening at the moment.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
After a few minutes of silence passed, Bakura would half-whisper, "... what's on your mind?" and not say anything else, but still be working his hands over Marik's upper body.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
And Marik would be quiet for a little, then admit quietly, "I'm wondering what'll happen next." And maybe twist slightly to look at Bakura, his own gaze downcast.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Sighing, Bakura would brush at Marik's hair with his hand some and softly state, "Nothing that you don't want." He'd remain there for a few moments longer. Sighing, he'd still notice the way Marik's acting and would stand up slowly and walk around him and start cleaning up a bit of the mess.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
And Marik would just wait on the ground for a little, for Bakura's reaction, then walk over to him and hug him from the front, whispering into his ear, "I want you to be happy - so do whatever it takes."
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would blink at the sudden hug and blink at the statement and then say, "I am not going to do something that you're not going to want. Or end up regretting. That will not make me happy." Then pause and state, "Thank you," as if the thought alone meant something.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would half-sigh then, and lick lightly at Bakura's neck. And ask why doesn't Bakura just command him to enjoy it or to want it?
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would laugh and state that telling someone to do something and them doing it is not the same. Then he'd shrug and say 'no matter'.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would tilt his head to a side, and think about if it's even possible to explain how confused he is, but end up just pouting. And stating that if Bakura commanded him to enjoy it, he'd do his best to do that.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Bakura would pull back some to look at Marik, but not move away from him, and state, "You don't lie. Forcing you - or commanding you - to do something, would all be a lie. It'd be fake. There's no point in that. It's okay, really."
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Marik would tilt his head to a side, and point out, "You're not forcing me - I'm obeying willingly." and at being told that it's okay, really, he'd bite his lower lip, feeling like he's failed somehow, then look directly at Bakura and admit, "I-I enjoyed it the second time. So I guess, you could make me enjoy it again..." And let his voice trail off at that, no longer looking at Bakura.
Re: Arrogance and Malepreg
Sighing, Bakura would ask, "If you hadn't already said that you would, would you still want to be uke? No..." As Marik trailed off, Bakura would gently pull Marik's face to look at him and state, "I'm not going to *make* you do anything..." Also thinking that it wasn't as if nothing had happened during the night. "It's o-kay. It's fine."
