five minute surreal little Marik ficlet that is not even RP-based since Marik will lose in the RP.

This is a fairy tale. It ends with happily ever after, and begins with once upon a time.

Once upon a time, there was a boy who hated everything. He wanted nothing more than to kill everyone and make it impossible for life to ever exist anywhere. He did a lot of bad things trying to make that happen. That didn’t matter though, because everyone said that it was a bad thing that he wanted, so it’s okay to do bad things for a bad cause, isn’t it?

Not that he had ever cared what was ‘okay’ and what wasn’t. Not that he’d ever be caught using such informal words as ‘okay’. Not that he’d ever use them, to be caught using them.

Of course, none of the words mattered after he got what he wanted. Nothing mattered, because there was nothing! So, he would have lived happily ever after, if he had lived, that is. You can’t live if you destroy everything!

Instead, the story died along with him as did everything else, and there was no happily ever after.

Author's Note: Maybe I should stop trying to write happy ficlets. I think that they're getting even more surreal and angsty as I continue. *headdesk*

Heh. Ironically, that's what I was thinking - prior to any of this. If Marik lives to destroy and hate... and if he were to get that or realize he couldn't have it - in the end he'd destroy himself - or so my thoughts led me to think months ago. And now reading this, yeah ^^;

I think that's pretty obvious really. If Marik wants to destroy everything, obviously that includes himself. *nods* I just thought that it would be fun to write in a semi-insane manner to see if it suited him.

LO! Damn you, now I've got this mental image of Bakura curled up in bed with Marik trying to read him a fairytale, and constantly getting interrupted by demands for illustrations, at which point Marik drags arndom passer-bys in with the Rod and kills them so that the story can have multimedia. XD
