fickle: (gay people are everywhere)

Gay rights buying power poll.

The following has been snagged from [livejournal.com profile] rayemars.

The American Family Association has put up a new poll: Should corporations be promoting homosexuality?

Take our poll. We will send the results to the largest corporations in America.

Several corporations are now supporting the homosexual agenda. These companies have been convinced by homosexual activists and the mainstream media that in order to be "fair and tolerant", companies must make special rules for homosexuals and provide company money and resources to help promote their lifestyle. Many companies, including Ford Motor Company and Eli Lilly and Company, have begun to support same-sex marriage.

Click here to take the Poll

Please forward this poll to your friends and family. Corporations need to know how Americans feel about companies promoting homosexuality.

I agree wholeheartedly. Let's do let corporations know how Americans who aren't on a narrow religious mailing list feel about companies "promoting the homosexual agenda."

I hate hate hate the phrase "homosexual agenda." It fills me with such rage. *Gnashes teeth*

And with your gnashing teeth, you destroy the French horn? XD

But yeah, that's an incredibly stupid phrase. Plus, what about the bisexuals? Do they get copies of the homosexual agenda and the heterosexual agendas (agendum? Agendae?), or do they have a separate one?

I think it'd be more like a Chinese restaurant menu. A little from column A, a little from column B...

[identity profile] fickle-goddess.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
If that's the case, I predict that the bisexuals spend too much time arguing about what's on the agenda to ever carry out any of its items.

I was just going to say the same thing. What IS this agenda, exactly? I've always been curious of that, but I guess I must know the wrong gay people. No one can tell me.

I don't see what special rules they keep talking about. People simply want to be treated like everyone else so it's an issue of same rules, not special ones. And I don't see the big deal about this "lifestyle" that everyone talks about. You go to school or work, possibly go to church, pay your taxes... you eat, you sleep, you poop... you have a home, a love, a family. Seems like the usual lifestyle to me.

My apologies for intruding on your journal. *bows deeply*

What a biased survey. We should totally hijack it....

BTW, here is link! (http://www.afa.net/petitions/businesses/businesses.asp) I had to go to [livejournal.com profile] rayemars' original post to get it, but there it is for anyone else.

*planning on it!*

*DIES* I can't believe that I forgot to add in the link, what was I thinking?! XDDD

Thank you! How did you get here, btw?

Somehow the concept that the poll requires a full name and contact info makes me a little leery. Do they plan on tracking down dissidents?

[identity profile] perivates.livejournal.com 2007-04-05 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd suspect it's so that they can say "Hey look, these are real people and not made-up numbers!" ...But even so, I gave my parents' address and my old email just in case.

I gave my school e-mail address and my cousin's name. >_> Because dude, I am leery of having info about me on the Net that's not locked.

Do you have any idea what they mean about 'making special rules' for homosexuals? Is that, like, within the workplace? Or are they simply talking about corporations backing gay rights in a shiny corporate social responsibility sort of way?
