So, my poor, precious baby laptop apparently is going to need a whole new motherboard because in addition to the problems that it’s having with the power supply, the USB port at the back is broken. But, motherboards are not covered under the warranty normally, and the guy says it would cost about $400 or $500 dollars for a new one. *dies* So, tomorrow morning I have to call the guy at the store, ask if there’s any chance that the USB port is broken because it was inferior quality in general, and then call Toshiba and beg them to think of it as their error and not mine. Since, after all, I take good care of my electronic stuff so there’s no way that I could have just broken the USB port through improper use.

Anyway, I now have no laptop at all, won’t have it for at least a week, maybe more, and have a blocked nose in addition to my other symptoms. On the bright side though, my anime class looks like it’ll be interesting. XD The first lesson was definitely good.

They're cute, and it's nice to have the woman be older than the man for a change, since usually the accepted stereotype is older men and younger women. However, since I really like Mai, I think that she could do a lot better than Jyounouchi since he’s just not as smart as her and his main qualities are loyalty and determination, which are cute but once the shine of them wears off – once it’s no longer a novelty to her cynical nature – I end up wondering if it would still work out. Ryuuji/Mai is better, but Jyounouchi/Mai is fun too.

Oh I don't know. I think he's a bit of a calming influence on her, really... kinda odd since he's usually so hot-headed. ;p

Ryuuji/Mai I have never really contemplated for my part. It's one of those, 'um' pairings for me. ^^;; Although since I've used up my one pairing, I guess I shouldn't make you do anymore. ;p

Probably she's forced to be more responsible in order to compensate for his hot-headedness? It wouldn't do for her to look less mature than him, after all. ^_^

XD, Ryuuji/Mai has the dubious distinction of being my favorite het pairing. I love it because they're perfect together - both of them act really shallow and narcisstic, but under the surface, they've got a lot more going for them but they don't get all serious about it, it just shows up in flashes here and there. They could relate to each other on a whole bunch of levels, probably move in similar circles and are both charming as well as flirtatious. Love might be a game for them when they're together, but it would be one that they both win.

...and that was an extra hundred words on a different pairing. (again, exactly 100 words). Just because I like you. And this way, I can claim two pairings for when you post this meme, muahahahaha!

I never thought of this pairing until ygo_rpg where it developed in the RP even though neither Ryuuji-mun or Malik-mun had meant it to. It's definitely my favorite Ryuuji pairing now though, because Malik and Ryuuji just have a ton in common, and this pairing is especially fun because it can be written so many different ways. It could be dark, it could be angsty, it could be sweet and heart-breakingly bittersweet... Because the characters are so complex and have so much depth to them, hidden behind layers and shields, the pairing gets really complicated and lovely as well.

*blinks* Wow, there's something I never considered. Riiiight, apart from the fact that I think Honda has possibly the worst hairstyle on the show and least character development, there's also the fact that Mokuba's 12. Way underaged. You could age them both up I suppose, but wouldn't Seto throw a fit then? Hm. Then again, Honda's a perv, so he could be lending Mokuba pr0n and stuff I suppose and it could just develop from there... I don't really think that I have an opinion on this one, except that I tend to shy away from pairings with Mokuba in them, just because he's a kid. ^^;

Yeah, Honda got haxx0red on the development area. I like Mokuba with Rebecca, seeing as they're about the same age and fairly smart. I'd have to get past the fact that they've never talked to each other first, though.

Hm, I actually used to like this pairing a while back. I'm a member of the bakuraxseto community on livejournal anyway, but the problem is that it clashes with my OTP, Yami no Malik/Yami no Bakura. If I didn't have that as an OTP, it would be fine probably, since I also like Yami no Malik/Kaiba, but as it is, I end up thinking 'NO! Bakura is belongs to Mariku!' when I read fics with Bakura being paired up with anyone except Marik.

On its own merits though, it's an interesting pairing. Very deliciously warped, when done right anyway.
