I need to eat breakfast and take a shower, and I feel like I'm running a fever due to lack of sleep, so I have to check myself up at the infirmary as well.
Just a quick note for later:
The original plan for the sacrifice was NEVER that Bakura would stop Marik.
Marik was supposed to find himself unable to kill Devlin, then give Bakura a look or something to show that he wanted Bakura to pretend to 'stop' him. However, that won't work out right now since Marik and Devlin have failed to bond.
But. What if we kept that in reverse? Bakura points out to Marik that he doesn't want to be there for the sacrifice, and Marik offers to make sure that Bakura is unconscious so that Devlin won't try to ask Bakura for help and that nobody will blame Bakura for it. Or even if Bakura doesn't ask, Marik could think of it on his own and offer - since I was discussing with EKYO the possibility of Marik just doing that without warning Bakura but decided that would be betrayal.
Anyway. That could work since Bakura wouldn't be betraying Devlin (he'd really be unable to help Devlin) and he wouldn't be betraying Marik either.
Which still leaves Devlin and Malik capable of stopping the ritual, and has the additional bonus that Devlin will most likely automatically assume that Bakura is unconscious because he tried to help so Devlin's hatred will transfer over to Marik instead, so when the ritual fails, and Ryuuji takes over instead of Devlin, Ryuuji will still like Bakura or whatnot.
Think about it. I'll be online again later, but the GMC RP just picked up again (has been runnning for 19 hours) so I can only make this a very quick break and a hurried shower.
