If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, RHYTHMBOX etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool...
7. When you're finished tag some other people to do it!Since I'm nice, I'm going the extra mile and uploading these songs onto yousendit to share with you guys.
Well, that and I promised
nevita music a while ago and never actually uploaded it, so this'll be a very delayed feel-better giftie to her.Opening Credits: Coming Too Close -- No Use For A Name. That's a little too depressed for how I currently feel? But if we're looking at my life overall, yeah, sure, I guess that'll work.
Waking Up: Once Upon A Dream -- Sleeping Beauty Disney soundtrack....I'm not making this up, I swear.
First Day of School: One Last Chance -- Hercules Disney soundtrack.Again, not making this up! This being the song that Phil sings when Hercules begs him for training. XD
Falling in Love: Hang On To Your IQ -- Placebo.I suppose that means I'm meant to stay smart even when swept off my feet? It's a reasonable enough demand.
Fight Song: Son of a Preacher -- Janis Joplin.Okay, accurate streak ends here. I mean, okay, this song is talking about being pretty much untouchable but how is anyone supposed to argue to this, let alone fight? Unless it's in super-slow-motion or something.
Breaking Up: Now Or Never -- Elvis Presley.I used to love his songs when I was little. Though if this is meant to be a break up song, that must mean that it was 'never' as opposed to 'now'.
Prom: Limerick -- Kathy and Amila.
Uh. That's a recording that Kathy and I made at 4:04AM, having finally finished watching all of Gundam Wing. *cracking up while listening to it* This probably doesn't count as a song, but hey, it came up, so it's fair game. And despite the title, there isn't actually a limerick in it, though I know that I recorded one with her that had to do with me killing her.
Life: For The Longest Time -- Billy Joel.Yeah. ♥ This is also what I consider the perfect flippantshipping (Mai/Ryuuji) song because it's all light-hearted and romantic and so
casually happy.
Driving: Who's The Fool Now? -- Rocking Horse Winners.Gods, trust me, if I ever try driving again, I probably will end up looking like a fool
in jail.
Flashback: All Fired Up -- Pat Benatar. This is actually a really good fight/energy-maximiser song. Fast-paced, upbeat, and strong. I used to listen to it to make me feel more awake in the mornings.
Getting Back Together: Basket Case -- Green Day.That's not encouraging
at all. But I love this song because the first time I heard it was when Alessandro and his band played it in the Octogon on the last day for school for the Grade 12s (a year above me, what you'd call the seniors in America), and I liked Aless. Matt introed me to him, and he made enough of an impression on me for me to bother typing up some convos with him and Matt for future reading.
Wedding: Oh Starry Night -- Sailor Moon soundtrack.Don'tjudgeme. *dies* I remember being fourteen and singing along passionately to this, very off-key of course.
Party: Accidentally In Love -- Shrek 2 Soundtrack.Oh, I remember when I bought this soundtrack, I used to pace around while listening to this. Then my younger cousin, Devi-Monkey, would imitate me. And I'd touch the doorframes and wall at each opposing end of the room when pacing, and if I missed one, she'd go "No! You have to touch it!". Because otherwise it must have felt incomplete to her. *loves her little cousin so much* Most adorable little brat
ever.
Birth of A Child: Bank of Boston Beauty Queen -- Dresden Dolls.I technically cheated a little on this since what came up was actually the Highway Blues sax solo that everyone gets with Windows Media Player, so I didn't think it was worth uploading a sample that everyone has, so I just hit skip to get to the next song.
Final Battle: Swabber -- Flogging Molly. The only lyrics to this song that's nearly pure music is "Don't know where I'm going." Which means either I got lost on the way to the final battle, I died and don't know what the afterlife holds, or I won and have no idea what the next step is.
Couldn't find out where it's stored, so can't upload it either, sorry.
Funeral Song: Both Reached For The Gun -- Chicago Soundtrack. At least it explains how I die!
Ending Credits: Mr. Self Destruct -- Nine Inch Nails.Everyone has this song already, I'm sure. I got it because someone used the lyrics for a Heero wallpaper that I liked, so I wanted to hear it. And it does actually fit him pretty well. XD
