Pratchett comments on Rowling's derision of the fantasy genre.

To summarize the article in the above link:

Rowling: Fantasy is stale and boring. I'll make it better.
Pratchett: ...tell me again, what do I write?
Rowling: I didn't realize HP was fantasy!
Pratchett: Obviously the jumping chocolate frogs weren't a clue.
Rowling: Like, ZOMG!
Pratchett: *hires the Guild of Assassins to whack her with the Clue Bat*

So, remember the last post about how Pratchett commented on Rowling's status as the supposed savior of fantasy fiction?

Neil Gaiman has now joined the fray!

For those of you not in the know, Neil Gaiman is a very popular and talented writer, who co-wrote Good Omens with Terry Pratchett. Some of his other popular novels are American Gods, Neverwhere, Stardust, Smoke & Mirrors (an incredible collection of short stories) and most recently, Coraline. [/lit plug]

At any rate, take a look.

If anyone is interested, I found the link to that blog post of his over at Fandom_Wank, where this post showcased exactly how wanky HP fans can be.
