Mostly, it was okay except for a little argument over whether or not asexuality exists, because -- as you might have guessed -- she refused to believe that I'm asexual. It led to the following amusing conversations:

Lila: So, do you have a boyfriend or girlfriend?
Me: Uh, no, I'm not really interested.
Lila: What about Neko? Is she interested in anyone special?
Me: ...Um. Not really. Well, she is interested in someone, and the two of us talked over her crush on that person while she was here, but we agreed it probably won't work out.
Lila: Why not?

Cue a discussion of asexuality and me dancing around the fact that I'm asexual (you think coming out as gay is hard? Try coming out as something nobody in your family will believe even exists. I'd get taken more seriously by them if I claimed I was an alien.) with her repeatedly saying how lovely I am and how I really ought to be in a relationship with someone.

The kicker of it was at the end of the lunch when she was dropping me back at my dorm and was all, "You know, I'm really disappointed, I'd hoped that Neko was your girlfriend."

Me: ...Oh. Well, very sorry to disappoint but nope, we're just friends.

Apart from that minor oddity, it was a very enjoyable lunch. I like her and her kids a lot, though her kids weren't there today. XD
